It was June 4th — a public holiday here in Poland. I woke up with a simple plan: spend a quiet day away from the computer, enjoy the day off, and relax. But a morning email from Apple completely rewrote my plans.
Fuelio was selected as the App of the Day on the App Store in the United States! 🇺🇸📣

For any app developer, being featured as App of the Day is a major milestone. But being featured in the US—Apple's home market and the biggest, most competitive App Store market in the world—is on a whole different level. It’s one of the highest recognitions an application can receive.
A Surprise Recognition
I actually received a nomination from Apple some time ago, hinting that there was a chance Fuelio might be featured. However, they didn't provide a specific date, so waking up to see the app front and center on the US App Store was a complete surprise.
For a utility app that helps drivers track fuel, mileage, and car costs, standing in that spotlight is incredibly rewarding. Apple also created a dedicated editorial story for the feature: See Gas Prices at Nearby Pumps, which is still live and highlights how Fuelio helps you log trips and manage costs.
The iOS Journey
This milestone feels especially sweet because our iOS version is still growing. While Fuelio has a long history and a massive user base on Android, we've been working hard to bring that same level of polish and utility to iPhone users.
There is still a lot to do, and our roadmap for iOS this year is highly ambitious. But moments like this are a great reminder that the effort is paying off.
