TrackBlur – Terms of use

Last Updated: March 1, 2026

1. Introduction to TrackBlur

TrackBlur is an Android and iOS application designed to detect, track, and blur faces, objects, and custom areas in videos and photos directly on your device. It leverages on-device AI to provide privacy protection that follows your subjects across every frame. It is built with a focus on privacy, ensuring that all processing occurs locally on your phone and no media content is uploaded to external servers.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the TrackBlur App, you signify your acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use or access the App.

3. License to Use the App

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the TrackBlur App for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

4. In-App Purchases & Premium

The TrackBlur App may offer in-app purchases or subscriptions for additional features (Premium), such as removing advertisements and unlocking advanced editing tools. These purchases are processed and managed by the respective app stores (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) and are subject to their payment terms and conditions.

Payment Processing: All payments for in-app purchases are handled by Google Play or Apple App Store. On iOS, purchases are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system, with RevenueCat used solely to manage subscription and entitlement status. We do not collect or store your payment information.

Refunds: Any requests for refunds for in-app purchases must be made directly to Google Play or Apple App Store, in accordance with their refund policies. We cannot process refunds ourselves.

Disputes: For billing issues, contact Google Play or Apple Support. For functionality issues, contact us directly.

5. User Responsibilities & Output Verification

You agree to use the App responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Content Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all content you process using the App, including ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to use and modify such content.

Output Verification (Critical): Blurring and anonymization in video is a complex process. TrackBlur uses AI detection and motion tracking to assist you, but these systems may not be perfect in all conditions (e.g., poor lighting, fast motion, camera shake, or occlusions).

You are solely responsible for reviewing every frame of the processed video and verifying that the blurring/anonymization is effective and appropriate for your needs before sharing, publishing, or otherwise using the output. We are not responsible for any failures to anonymize individuals or objects in the generated output.

6. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

  • AI Performance: While we strive for high accuracy, we do not guarantee that the AI detection or tracking will identify every instance of a face or object in a video.
  • No Guarantee of Bug-Free Operation: We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or that its operation will be uninterrupted.
  • Local Processing: While the App processes data locally on your device for privacy, we are not responsible for any data loss or corruption that may occur on your device due to the App’s use.

About TrackBlur

TrackBlur is a privacy-focused Android and iOS app built by kajda.com Adrian Kajda. The app processes all videos and photos locally on your device – nothing is sent to external servers. Your content stays private and secure on your phone.

This privacy policy explains how TrackBlur handles your data and privacy. Since the app works entirely offline, we don’t collect or store your personal information.

Information Collection and Use

No Personal Data Collection

TrackBlur does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The app works entirely offline on your device.

  • No personal information (name, email, phone, etc.)
  • No videos or photos are uploaded to our servers (all processing is local)
  • No location data

Advertising

Android only

The free Android version of this app displays advertisements through Google AdMob. We use Google’s Consent Management Solution to obtain user consent for ad personalization where required by law.

iOS

The iOS version:

  • Does not display ads
  • Does not use AdMob
  • Does not use analytics SDKs

Technical Diagnostics & Analytics

Android only

To help us fix bugs and improve stability, the Android version may collect anonymized crash reports and diagnostic data through Firebase Crashlytics. This data includes technical information such as your device model, OS version, and the technical cause of a crash. Crucially: These reports never include your photos, videos, or any personal identification.

iOS

The iOS version does not use Firebase, Crashlytics, or third-party analytics SDKs. Apple may collect system diagnostic data according to user device settings.

Third-Party Services

Android

  • Google Play Services
  • Firebase
  • Google AdMob

iOS

The iOS app uses RevenueCat (to manage entitlement/subscription status only). RevenueCat does not provide us with payment details or billing information.

Security & Local Processing

All AI detection, tracking, and video rendering happens directly on your device. Your videos and photos never leave your phone, ensuring maximum privacy and security. The app works completely offline, so there’s no risk of data breaches or unauthorized access to your content.

Your Privacy Rights

Since we don’t collect personal data, traditional data rights (access, deletion, portability) don’t apply. However:

  • You control all your content (it stays on your device)
  • You can delete the app anytime to remove all local app data
  • You can manage ad preferences through your device settings

App Store Payments

All Premium purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS). We do not see, collect, or store any payment information. Your payment data is governed by their respective privacy policies.
